my love of Keswick
Hi all i'm brand new to the forum, i just wanted to post a note to say hello and share with the rest of the forum my love for Keswick.
My wife, dog and I have been coming to Keswick for about 7 years now, we come up about 2-3 times a year and all 3 of us love it. When we're up there we just do the normal, we're keen walkers and we have our routines which we just have to do when we visit like having a pint (or several if i'm honest) of the local brew Yates bitter in the Dog and gun(and putting coins in the beams), visit the viewing point to see the Ospreys at the Whinlatter visitors centre having a meal at the Royal Oak and Coledale inn at Braithwaite and depending on the weather lazing round the shores of Buttermere. The funniest thing is our first day back home when all 3 of us are sulking round the house cos we're missing it already. Of all the places i've ever visited Keswick is my all time favourite the people, places and views are all fantastic and whenever i'm not there i'm always missing it and can't wait to come back i can't count the amount of times i've got my photos out to remind me of a fantastic town in a fantastic place, I love Keswick and I love the lakes and can't wait till i'm up there again. Regards to all |

Hello to you too!
I always used to holiday up here in Keswick - and then 16 years ago we left "real jobs" and bought a guest house in the town. We are still here - although have now moved a little way out of Keswick. The Lake District is one of those places which always feels like home to so many people. I never used to like driving away from the place - now I don't have to....
