Derwent Bay Bears

On one of our yearly visits to Bassenthwaite recently, we were disappointed to find that the Derwent Bay Bears workshop had closed. Our kids were disappointed but due to it being our last day we didn't have time to find out if they had moved or had shut up shop. Can anyone enlighten me?

Steve, I believe their lease ran out or something like that. They have planning permission to open up a new workshop over Penrith Way. Their products can still be seen (& bought) from their shop in Keswick town centre.
