i am thinking of going to keswick in october, but from reading various emails parking seems to be an issue is there anywhere residential i can park overnight and then walk to lake road?

Your best option is to stay somewhere where there is a car park. If they don't then the hotel will be able to advise you where to park. Don't park in ourresidential street - we need those spaces for our own cars!

Car parking in Keswick is not really a problem as long as people obey the rules when parking. Problem for us locals is that they keep changing the rules.

Probably a little contraversial but I have a medium sized motorhome and parked up behind the old railway station overnight, not in the Swimming pools car park but on roadside adjacent. It's close enough to walk anywhere in Keswick and very quiet. 8) 8) 8)
