Hello My name is Michael Fisher, and my family history dates back to the 15th century in Keswick. I am wondering how I would find a local resident that I am related too. The Last name is Fisher, the first Name is Wilf. I understand that he lives in a thatched roof home on or near the Derwent water, and that there is a small chapel and cemetary near the house. I have plans to bring my family over to Keswick this summer. We live in Chicago, and I would like them to have the opportunity to see where we are from. Any help would great.

I don't know if anyone has replied to you by email, but I have looked into this one a little.

There is no W Fisher in the local telephone directory with an address near Keswick or Derwentwater. A thatched cottage seems very unlikely here as there is an abundant supply of local slate for roofs, and I canot find a small cemetary on the local map.

I'm sure that you will have an interesting time following this up when you are over here.
