Xmas Fayre?
Can someone tell me if the Xmas Fayre in the town centre is on this weekend? A friend of mine was in Keswick last week and said that the centre was like a building site.

Yes, the Victorian Fair is taking place tomorrow, Sunday, in the Market Square, as usual. It starts at 11.30am.

The town may have looked like a building site the previous week but the guys do a good job to tidy up for things like the fayre. They're not as bad as people try to make out.

Thanks for the information. We did come over on Sunday & stayed overnight. The fayre was good fun, as usual, but have already eaten a lot of the food items we bought for Christmas.

We went to the fair too. Stayed Surday night in town and after a nice walk on Sunday morning ended up at the fair for some refreshment. The shops were open, too, so Mary did some more xmas shopping.
On the Saturday night we had the best meal we have ever had in Keswick at a new chinese place called Silk Road. We love chinese food and this was excellent. Will eat there next time we come. Pity we are too far away for takeaways (Oldham) N&M |
