Activities for kids

Hi

I'm coming up to stay at Keswick in August 04 and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers for activities for families (7 yrs, 5yrs and 8 mths!)
This is a trip down memory lane for my wife and I who spent our honeymoon there 10 yrs ago. this time we are dragging the sprogs along with us!

There are plenty of things for families & children to do here. Indoor attractions like the Cars of the Stars or the Pencil Museum and the swimming pool. Outdoor attractions such as crazy golf in Hope Park, a play area in Fitz Park or perhaps boating on Derwentwater? Outside of Keswick, try Whinlatter Forest, where there are activities for children at the visitor centre. Or see the big machines at the Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum. A little further afield, the large screen cinema and indoor play centre at Rheged is good for a wet day (should there be one).

How about gentle 'mountain' walks? - nothing better for children than playing & paddling in a cool mountain steam on a hot summer's day!

That is just the few things that sprung immediately to mind.

There is plenty too doo for kids, I have been with my kids several times and each time they enjoy it there is a very good farm park not far away, also derwent bay bears and of course boat rides on the lake.
I am going to be with family at the Camping an caravan club site from August 5th with my two kids so there will as ever be plenty of children to keep each other amused.
