have phoned as many b&bs as i could over the weekend looking for a double ensuite for saturday of easter weekend & all are full or wont do just a saturday night. does anyone know where we should look for a room as we can really only stayover one night.

Ellie, it will be very difficult to find somewhere just for Easter Saturday in Keswick, although you could check with Keswick Tourist Information Centre on 017687 72645 to see if anyone has availability just for that night.

If there is no joy there you could try looking just outside the National Park area, say Penrith or Cockermouth?

If you are really stuck there is High Lodore Farm in Borrowdale - I've found they have availability when everyone else is fully booked, there are no ensuite rooms and the accommodation is basic, but you will be hard pushed to find anywhere in the lakes with nicer views. The staff are lovely too!!!!

Rach, make sure you don't get a room at the front. There is a view over a church yard but the traffic and people noise is awful. It was hot when we were ther and you could not leave the window open. Spoilt our weekend.
