What's the scenery like at the moment?
We are coming back! Following our Easter trip to Keswick, Gina now wants to come back during our half term (next week). We already have booked at the guesthouse we previously stayed in, and will be bringing bikes with us this time.
 Gina has always been keen on photography so we hope to get some good snaps of the autumn scenery. So what's it like at the moment? We are worried that the leaves will already be off the trees. |

John, we have not yet reached the full range colours that we are likely to see. Some areas are at different stages, but very few leaves have fallen. The rangers at Whinlatter reckon that the best is still about 2 weeks away. I took a photo of Thornthwaite Forest this morning which shows that we are still in early autumn! Thanks. The trees look pretty good so Gina will be able to get some good snaps. We will be cycling in Whinlatter again and prbabably over to skiddaw house, so there will be good views. Going to pack the car now so I can pick Gina up staright from school and be on our way.
Keswick here we come. |

I just wanted to say that we had a great time up in the lakes last week. Gina really enjoyed it and took some lovely photos. Hope to come back at new year.

Hi John
Pleased to hear that you had a good holiday here. We are looking at ways of enabling people like yourselves to be able to upload digital pictures to a gallery here. All images would be attributed to the author etc. Does this sound like something you would like to see? . |

I would like to be able to post pictures on this site, too. Hope you can set it up.
The picture on the front page of this site is really smashing. It reminds me of our break last month. I wish I was still there. |
