camping in Keswick
Are there any good places to pitch up a tent for few days close to the town, but still by the lake

There is a camping club site right by the lake, accessed near the Rugby Club

There is a campsite just past Grange by the river, great place for swimming and close to the lake. 6 miles from town though. The site in Braithwaite is always popular. There's another up past Ashness, good views and just up the hill from the lake.
Basically there are loads of sites. |

Anyone know where I can get contact details for the Campsite next to the lake? I stopped there in February, and want to ring forward before I get there on Friday...

The Camping & Caravan Club site by the side of Derwentwater is on 017687 72392
