What's on next week

We are arriving from the US on Friday this week 6/20 for our long awaited visit to the Lakes District. Hotel is booked for 8 days, so are there any special events going on over the next 10 days or so that may interest us? We are in our 60s so going to the top of mountains may be out of the question unless there is an elevator, but we would like to experience as much as we can of the landscape and history.

I'm bringing my trusty laptop, too, as the hotel claims to have DSL. I'll be able to keep in touch.

Hi, I hope you are haing a good time. I think that June is a quieter month here, with nothing special going on apart from the Dalemain flower show. May is now full of festivals and July sees the religious convention in Keswick, so June is a good time to visit.

Just thought I'd let you know that we had a really good vacation in the Lakes District. Keswick is a lovely town where we found the people to be friendly and helpful. There was so much to see in that little part of England that we will just have to come back again.

Good to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Make sure you tell everyone back home and get them to come and visit our town.

Avoid the last 2 weeks in July, though. Too much hastle with vistors to the annual convention.
