There is usually a good gathering of people in the market square around the Moot Hall for the countdown. Last year there was a countdown clock but I don't know if there is one this year, as I have only just got back to Keswick from Gran Canaria (it was warmer there!).

If you want to go a pub then get in early. They will fill up and not allow anyone else in.

Got home on Sunday. on new year eve we had a great time in a pub near Fishers shop. we did not et into the market place as we did not want to leave the pub. you guys here know how to have a good time and u are so freindly.

Pleased to know that you had a good time. Seems that the countdown clock was not put up this year because it is broken. It had been stored in a wet place.
