Borrowdale Show

Last weekend we went to the Borrowdale Show. It was the first time we have been to a lake district show and had a really good time. It was a pretty awful day with showers and then heavy rain in the afternoon (started at about the time we were leaving), and because of foot and mouth rules there were no cattle or sheep showing. The locals were extremely friendly and full of apologies for the show not being "up to the usual standard."

We will be back - in fact we have already booked our B&B for next year.

We have been to the Borrowdale show every year since 2002, but this year a family wedding meant we had to be elsewhere. You are right, it is a really friendly event. I always enjoy watching the hound trailing ; it is amazing how fast the hounds can run when following a scent.
