Vegetarian Hotel/B&B

Hi have some friends who are vegetarians who are planning a trip to Keswick later this year. They have heard that there is a totally vegetarian Hotel or B&B in Keswick and would like some information about it. Does anyone know if there is such an establishment, and if so what its called and have you got any feedback about the place. Many Thanks.

I think most, if not all guesthouses and hotels in the Keswick area can provide vegetarian meal options. There used to be a total vege place called Eden Green on Blencathra Street, but I think they now cater for meat eaters, too. Best place to look is on our local web site at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.keswick.org">http://www.keswick.org</a><!-- m --> - just enter "vegetarian" in the search box on the right (like I just did!) and up pops some local vege places to try.

Cheers folks, ive passed on that info. In fact we've just got back from a few days in Keswick ourselves so i asked around whilst there, and i think the place they may have heard about is called The Heights Hotel up near Castlerigg Hall and Farm campsites but i dont know anyone who has stayed there, so have just passed on that name and your links too.

Last month we atea at the Quince & Medlar vegetarian restaurant in Cockermouth. Absolutely wonderful evening. Not cheap though, but well worth considering for a night out if you are vegies.
