BASSENTHWAITE FESTIVAL 1-2 JUNE 2007
Now in its third year, the Bassenthwaite Festival once again brings you a feast of music in a spectacular setting. Ensemble Buxtehude are delighted to be back to present three concerts and very much hope you can come!

Friday 1st June, St John's Church, Bassenthwaite (on the A591), 7.30pm: music for 8 voices, oboe, strings and organ by Bach, Buxtehude and other German Baroque composers.

Saturday 2nd June, St John's Church, Bassenthwaite (on the A591), 12.30pm: lunchtime recital of music by Buxtehude for strings and organ.

Saturday 2nd June, St Bega's Church, on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake (accessible from the A591, turn off at sign for Scarness/St Bega's Church/Bassenthwaite Church), 7.30pm: Requiem Mass for 6 voices by master of the Spanish Renaissance, Tomas Luis de Victoria, and pieces for solo cello.

Refreshments available at all concerts.

Tickets:
Festival Pass to all three concerts £15/£5 children
Saturday Pass to both Saturday concerts £10/£3 children.
Individual tickets: evenings £7/£3 children; lunchtime £4/free to children.

That is a busy weekend, with the Keswick Beer Festival, the Holker Hall garden show and Elton John appearing in Carlisle - and no doubt a lot more!
If we can make it, will tickets be available at the door for each event?
