Swimming Pool

I am a keen swimmer and visiting Keswick in a couple of weeks - I tried the fun pool last time I was there and it's not really any good to actually try to swim in!!
Can anyone recommend a nearby leisure centre/swimming pool and possibly let me know where I can get hold of a timetable? I'm more interested in adult only sessions maybe with lane swims.

If you are that keen you could go to Greystoke Swimming Pool - it's heated but n the openair!!!

Wow 8O and open air pool that sounds fantastic - I did once swim in an open air pool on a school trip to Switzerland (several years ago!), it was snowing and really good fun so I will check this out!

The nearest pool for swimming rather than playing is at Cockermouth, timetable is here.

A little further away is the pool in the new Penrith Leisure Centre. Information here.
