Romantic B & B
Hi
Would be grateful if anybody knows or has stayed in a romantic B & B, guest house or hotel in Keswick. We have stayed in Keswick a number of times in some lovely places but this time I thought I would treat my husband to a romantic, cosy break. Thanks.

We have stayed in a lot of different B&Bs in Keswick but don't remember any one as being "romantic". We did stay in one guest house with a lovely big 4-poster bedroom in spring 1998. I think it was called Lynwood and was on the road going out of the town towards Ambleside. (Ambleside Road??).
They also did nice candlelit dinners! But like I said, that was 8 years ago and it may have changed. Debs |

Romantic b & b
Thanks for info Debbie I'd not thought about the
I have found what looks to be quite a nice place called Hermiston two miles outside of Keswick in Braithwaite. Don't know if it fills the romantic bit yet but it certainly looks nice and they have a special offer on at the moment so I've booked for a 3 night weekend break for only £120. Kath |

Oh let us know how you got on there. About 10 years ago we stayed in Maple Bank B&B in Braithwaite, which was nice but noisy as the main A66 road went past almost outside the door. We liked the village though especially the pub up on the hill.

Hermiston Guest House, Braithwaite
Just thought I'd let people know how we got on in our search for romantic B & B.
We found a place in Braithwaite called Hermiston guest house which was different from the normal b & b we all expect. Although I'd say that its about two miles away from Keswick centre do not let that put you off. The walk is easy and the scenery magnificent. The guest house itself was modern and the rooms were on par to what you would expect in a five star hotel. The owners could not do enough for you they were very warm and welcoming and the breakfasts were to die for. (No exaggeration)! Every mouthful felt like heaven. We are planning on returning in spring when hopefully last years ospreys will be returning to nest to have their young. I would not hesitate in recommeding this guest house, you have just got to try it. Cheers!
