Other events in July?
We will be in the Keswick area (hopefully!) from 20th to 26th July. Are there any interesting events taking place apart from this convention? Sporting events, beer, sausage or pie festivals? Interesting art exhibitions? What would you do at this time - does not have to be in Keswick!!!

There is a lot to do in Keswick at any time! See <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.keswickplus.co.uk/events.html">http://www.keswickplus.co.uk/events.html</a><!-- m --> for a start off. Then there are events organised by the Lake District National Park, see <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.lake-district.gov.uk/index/enjoying/events_spring_2006/events-listing.htm">http://www.lake-district.gov.uk/index/e ... isting.htm</a><!-- m -->
For evenings in Keswick there is the Theatre by the Lake, the cinema and of course, the pubs & clubs. Well worth a visit to the tourist information centre in the Moot Hall (middle of the town square) where most local events are advertised. I am back home having had a brilliant time. What amazing weather!!! Only ventured into Keswick twice during the morning as parking was a problem. Evening time was fine. The Theatre was enjoyable, so many thanks for the information.

I'm pleased that you had a good time here. We locals tend to forget all the good things that there are to see & do here. Must admit that I tend to avoid the town at busy times! The theatre is one place I regularly go. I jst wish the ticket were cheaper. :?
